Hillview, Brechin: Low Carbon Demonstrator Housing Project

As part of a project to create low carbon demonstrator housing in Brechin, all five Hillview blocks will receive:

• external wall insulation

• under floor insulation

• loft insulation

• triple glazed windows

• zero direct emission heating systems with solar pv and bulk battery storage

This project reflects our commitment to putting people first, treating everyone fairly, and creating a community where everyone has equal opportunities

Aims

This will be partly funded  by the Tay Cities Deal. The aim is to:

• reduce energy bills and running costs

• improve energy efficiency in our existing housing stock

• meet government targets for carbon reduction  

How to get involved

To help us monitor the effect of these improvements, it would be helpful if you can tell us a little about yourself and your energy use.

This will help with future housing upgrades and renewable energy projects.

We'd also like to know if you would like to get more involved in the project.
