Consultation has concluded
SYSTRA LTD and Angus Council are working together to produce concept designs to improve walking and cycling conditions between Montrose rail station and the town centre.
The route, along Basing View, Western Road and Hume Street, was identified as a priority in a feasibility study and public engagement undertaken in 2022 which looked at a wide range of options across the town. This work followed a charrette in 2016 and an audit conducted in 2018.
We have now developed initial concept designs proposals which we would like to gather feedback on. Once we have gathered all of your feedback we will then look to identify funding that will allow further progression of the project.
