This consultation is restricted to residents in the Glenprosen Street and Glenesk Avenue area of Montrose.
Proposed informal one-way system at Glenprosen Street/Glenesk Avenue car parking area
Concerns have been raised with Angus Council regarding road safety during school hours, particularly around the Lochside Primary School drop-off and pick-up times.
To address these, Angus Council Roads officers have observed traffic patterns during these times and have consulted with parents and the school about the challenges they face.
Several potential engineering solutions have been explored.
As shown in the drawing, new signage and road markings would be implemented to establish an advisory one-way system through the parking area.
Please note, vehicles exiting the parking area would still have the option to turn in either direction on Glenprosen Street.
We are now seeking your feedback on whether you agree with the proposed changes to the traffic flow for entering and exiting the parking area.
Angus Council would be obliged if you would take the time to look at the proposal, and respond to the survey below by Friday 13 March 2026 so that your views can be taken into consideration.
