What have AHSCP done so far to progress Equalities?

Here are some examples of actions we have progressed for the current Equality Outcomes:

    • Staff Training: AHSCP staff have received extensive training on Equalities and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

    • Impact Assessment: A comprehensive Combined Impact Assessment helps evaluate the effects of policies and projects on people with protected characteristics, with results published online for transparency.

    • Translation & Interpretation Services: AHSCP coordinates most translation and interpretation bookings to ensure accessible communication for service users, families, carers, staff, and the public.

    • Support for Resettlement: AHSCP assists the Angus Council Resettlement Team in helping refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced families integrate into the community.

    • Website Accessibility: The AHSCP website has been improved for better accessibility, including language options, text size adjustment, and viewing settings.

    • Podcast Launch: AHSCP launched a podcast titled ‘Getting to Know Angus Health and Social Care Partnership’  to engage with the community.

    • Public Feedback via Care Opinion: AHSCP uses Care Opinion to gather and respond to public feedback on health and social care services.
