Angus Health & Social Care Partnership is inviting you to share your views and feedback on our current Equality Outcomes and what you believe is important to include in the next set of Equality Outcomes 2025-2029.

As a listed public body within the Equality Act (2010), Angus Integration Joint Board (IJB) is obligated to ensure equality and fair treatment of those with protected characteristic(s). A protected characteristic under the Act refers to a specific attribute or trait that is legally safeguarded from discrimination. It is illegal to discriminate against someone based on any of these characteristics. The nine protected characteristics are:

  • age
  • disability
  • gender reassignment
  • marriage and civil partnership
  • pregnancy and maternity
  • race
  • religion or belief
  • sex
  • sexual orientation

As part of these duties, the IJB is required to demonstrate how they will mainstream equalities practice into day-to-day business and publish a set of Equality Outcomes. Equality Outcomes are specific, measurable goals set by the Angus IJB to actively promote and embed equality within our services and operations.

Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP), which delivers services for the IJB is passionate and committed to promoting fairness, equality and respect when delivering services and support.
