Consultation has concluded
Following on from a study that looked at a route to the primary school and engagement work carried out by Tealing Development Trust, Angus Council is looking to progress some of the key themes from this previous work.
The consultants Stantec have been commissioned to:
carry out a feasibility study of potential active travel routes in Tealing
develop concept designs of identified routes
produce a final report summarising the findings
This work will follow on from a previously commissioned study in 2022-23, which focused on developing a route to the primary school, and engagement work carried out by the Tealing Development Trust in 2022 and 2024. This study, however, will look at how best to create safe and accessible active travel routes across the wider Tealing area.
Angus Council is funding this project through Transport Scotland’s Active Travel Tier 1 General Capital Grant. This grant replaced the Cycling Walking Safer Routes (CWSR) fund from previous years.
The feasibility study and concept designs will be informed by:
a review of existing study documents
an options appraisal
consultation with the project team and the Tealing community
How to have your say
Please take 5 minutes to complete our survey and share your thoughts.
The survey will run for six weeks from Monday 25 November to Sunday 5 January.
The information collated at this stage will help to inform the development of designs that reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community.
