Active Travel in Montrose
Consultation has concluded
Help us create a better environment to walk, wheel and cycle in and around Montrose.
About active travel
Active travel means travelling in physically active ways. For example, walking or cycling.
Active travel has economic, social, health and environmental benefits. It is a key priority for the Scottish Government and Angus Council. The Scottish Government has committed to reduce car kilometres travelled by 20% by 2030.
We want to promote active travel in Montrose by building a network of active travel routes in the town. These routes would encourage people to choose active travel for getting to work, using local services or socialising and entertainment.
How to get involved
Give us your views on the current active travel network, and suggest how we could improve it, by completing our survey.
You can also use the map to identify areas of the town you feel could be improved when it comes to traveling more actively. You can attach a photograph to highlight the area concerned.
What happens next
The survey closes on 4 March 2024.
We'll use your responses help us plan an active travel network in Montrose.
