We would like to hear your views on our vision, ambitions and priorities and other aspects of our Strategic Plan .
Angus Integration Joint Board (IJB) is reviewing its Strategic Plan for 2023-2026. This is something that we are required to do every three years. While the priorities set out in our previous plan remain relevant, some aspects require updating to reflect national policy, changing needs, challenges and opportunities.
The Strategic Plan sets out the key priorities for adult community health and social care services in Angus, ensuring that we use our resources effectively to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the most efficient and sustainable way. Our aim is to support adults to stay well, live independently, and experience the best possible quality of life. We remain committed to delivering improved care, outcomes, and experiences for the people of Angus.
We know that more people will be living with frailty in the years ahead. At the same time, overall health is declining, and pressures on staff and budgets are increasing. This makes planning for the future more challenging than ever.
We cannot assume that extra funding will be available. Current forecasts show financial gaps of c£10m, and there are other risks we cannot yet measure. This means we face tough choices. Some services may need to change, and some things we do now may no longer be possible.
We ask for your understanding as we adapt, and for your support in shaping a care system that remains compassionate, sustainable, and responsive to our community. Open and honest conversations with the public and our staff will be essential as we make these difficult decisions together.
Please fill in the following short questionnaire to let us know what you think. Your comments will inform our Plan and make it as comprehensive as it can be.
