Angus Council resolved to license Sexual Entertainment Venues from 12 August 2021. The Council prepared a statement of its Sexual Entertainment Venue Policy. You can read this on the Council’s Licensing webpage.
When preparing the statement the Council considered the impact of licensing sexual entertainment venues and its effect on the objectives of:
• preventing public nuisance, crime and disorder
• securing public safety
• protecting children and young people from harm and
• reducing violence against women
The policy statement is now being reviewed by the Council's Civic Licensing Committee and consultation is part of this process.
