There are currently 66 designated polling places in Angus. Polling places range from schools and leisure centres to local community and church halls.

Following the UK Parliamentary election in July 2024, a number of polling places have been identified as unavailable or no longer suitable.

Proposals

The following amendments to the current polling scheme have been recommended by the Returning Officer:

How to have your say

Any elector in the Angus local government area may make representations to the council about these proposals.

If possible, include proposals for venues that may be suitable for consideration as alternative polling places.

We also welcome input from anyone with expertise on access to premises and facilities for people who are disabled.

What happens next

All representations received during the course of the review will be published on the council’s website and available for public inspection at Angus House, Forfar; Bruce House, Arbroath and public libraries.

Final recommendations will be submitted to Angus Council on 11 December 2025.

The outcome of the review will be published by 28 December 2025.
