Scottish Water's Roods emergency repairs continue into Friday
Regrettably, Scottish Water have advised us that their emergency repairs on Roods are not yet complete and will continue on Friday (6 February).
This means that the temporary change to the diversion route for the road works on High Street, allowing for access via The Glengate to Reform Street and the Town Centre will also continue into Friday while the emergency closure of Roods remains in place.
Diversion signs in the town centre reflect this and, once Scottish Water has completed its emergency works, diversion signage at Roods will revert back to the original routes.
Businesses on Roods and within the town centre remain open and parking within town centre car parks is available as normal.
Slight changes to the planned bus service diversions to accommodate this emergency closure will continue into Friday.
Details on the bus timetables specific to journeys affected by this emergency closure can be found on our roads and road closures page.
Thank you once again for your appreciation and understanding while this additional unforeseen and unplanned work is carried out.
Thank you for your contribution!
