Forfar works - Castle Street re-opens for weekend

We're happy to report that works at Castle Street in Forfar have been completed up to the junction of The Cross and the road is reopening today for the weekend.

Due to work-related carriageway complexities and traffic management associated with the phases in Castle Street, it was necessary to make a late amendment to the phase two extents during this week.

Phase three (see the roadworks maps on this page) will begin from this coming Monday (2 February). The works will be supported by temporary traffic lights. Access and egress from Castle Street onto both East High Street and West High Street will not be possible during this phase.

From 7.30am on Monday (2 Feb), access to Castle Street will only be available via the one-way system from Canmore Street at the north side to Queen Street. Please do not park between Queen Street and The Cross from 7:30am to that we can progress with phase three.
