Bank Street Kirriemuir Update 6 March

The footway resurfacing works on Bank Street, Kirriemuir, will begin on Monday 9 March, as previously advised and are expected to be completed by Friday 27 March.

In order to carry out the works safely, a road closure is required. Following further consultation with affected businesses, we can confirm that we will start on the north side of the footway and reopen the carriageway during the weekends of 14, 15, 21 and 22 March. The carriageway will then be closed again on the Monday while works continue. We apologise for any disruption this may cause.

Businesses will remain open as normal, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Property access will also be maintained, and the town centre car parks will remain open during the works. Public transport will be affected, and details about changes relating to necessary temporary bus stop closures and temporary relocations will be displayed on the relevant bus stops. The works are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete and updates will continue to be provided as the works progress.
