Have your say on where glass recycling points (GRPs) should go in your area.
Preferred locations for glass recycling points
Around 170 new GRPs are being introduced across Angus as part of the changes to the recycling service. We will site glass bins where:
people go regularly (for example, at supermarkets, leisure centres, village halls or car-parks)
the pavement is wide enough (for example, beside a bus stop)
our vehicle can stop safely
we have clear access to empty bins (for example, no steps)
the bin is not directly beside someone's home
We will use different types of bins, depending on the amount of glass we expect to collect in a specific location.
How to have your say
Click on the blue "Suggest a location" button on this page to let us know where you think a glass recycling point should be located.
If you have more than one suggestion, complete a separate submission for each location.
What happens next
You can submit a suggestion for any location in Angus any time between now and March 2025.
New glass recycling points are in place in areas where new blue bins have been delivered.
We are currently assessing suggestions for the Montrose and Brechin area - changes begin Spring 2025.
Stay informed
When you submit a suggestion you'll get the option to stay informed about glass recycling points and other waste and recycling news by signing up to our email newsletter.
