Prior to the delivery of the improvements at Drumachlie Loan, poor accessibility and no footway provision along the roadside made conditions challenging. There were missing links to Park Road, the Nature Trail and Wards Road which had an impact on connectivity. No safe access or crossing point also made things difficult.

The new paths delivered in 2024 include new lighting columns and a landscaped buffer between the path and the road. There is now improved accessibility and links to Andover Primary School and crossing to path network and nature trail.
