The council is considering renaming the street at Cumberland Close, Kirriemuir.

A petition to rename the street has been received by the council. The matter was discussed at the Angus Council meeting on 14 December 2023. See Committee Report No. 351/23.

The committee agreed in principle to consider a change of street name. However, they were keen to consult the residents of Kirriemuir before making a final decision.

There are six properties in Cumberland Close that would be directly impacted by a change of street name.
