We are considering granting a new 99-year lease for the Queen Margaret’s Inch at Forfar Loch to the Forfar Sailing Club. The club have occupied the Inch since 1959 on a succession of short leases.

The present buildings were erected in the early 1960s and have now reached the end of their useful lives. To enable the club to raise the external funding necessary to redevelop the facilities to current standards, it is necessary to have a secure long term right of occupation of the land. The lease will extend beyond the existing boundaries so it wont impact on any historic monuments.

If the lease is granted, planning permission will be sought to replace existing buildings.

Further details regarding the club can be found on their website
