We want to hear from you about climate change and find new ways to collaborate.

Use the tools below to let us know about:

  • your experience of weather events or climate change
  • topics you’d like discussed at future climate change events

Previous events

Along with Scottish Community Climate Action Network (SCCAN), we held a series of events across Angus in the summer of 2023. There was also an online event for those unable to join in person.

At each session we asked participants to consider the following questions:

  1. What are the existing climate change impacts in Angus?
  2. What solutions would you like to see implemented in your local area?
  3. How can local communities work together to take action in an inclusive way?

Similar key themes emerged across each session. Existing climate impacts included:

  • increased risk of flooding
  • warming temperatures and increased risk of heatwaves,
  • soil erosion
  • loss of biodiversity
  • fewer pollinators

Suggested solutions included:

  • improved public transport and active travel routes
  • increased collaboration between community groups in Angus and Tayside
  • learning from other regions in Scotland including Fife to implement community energy projects distributing locally generated electricity
