We want to hear your views on parks and open spaces in Angus.
Angus Council is developing an Open Space Strategy to help ensure that residents have access to high-quality open spaces. The strategy will assess the amount, location, accessibility, condition and use of open spaces across Angus.
It will look at the open spaces available now and what may be needed in the future and recommend ways to improve them for communities across Angus.
The strategy will guide the planning of new open spaces in future developments. Although no funding is currently attached to it, the strategy will help decide where future funding should be focused to improve existing spaces and provide new ones.
What do we mean by open space?
Open space includes all green and natural spaces, such as parks, playing fields, woodlands, rivers and ponds, as well as public civic spaces like town squares, marketplaces and other paved public areas in and around our towns and villages.
(you will need an email and screen name to use the map tool)
If you or anyone you know needs this information in a more accessible, alternative format, please ask for it using our accessibility feedback form.
We also have paper copies in local libraries, community campuses, and country parks.
What happens next
