About

Engage Angus is our online platform for consultations, surveys, polls and other forms of engagement.

Use it to tell us what you think and help shape decisions that will make a difference in your community.

Registration

You don't need to register to take part in surveys or quick polls. Just click on the link on the project to take part.

But if you want to post questions and comments on a project you will need to register.

You will need a valid email address to do this.

Once you've registered you can sign in whenever you want to take part in online engagement.

We are asking people to register to help us keep the platform safe and reliable.

From time to time we'll notify registered users about new projects that we think will be of interest to them.

Usernames

When you register we'll ask you to create a username. This will be visible to everyone along with any comment you make, so please don’t use your full name.

Likewise, avoid using something that makes it easy to identify you.

Personal information

When you register we'll ask you some personal questions such as your year of birth and postcode. These are optional, but they do help us understand who is engaging with us.

Collecting this information also helps us work out whether we need to take steps to give everyone an equal opportunity to have their say.

Knowing a little more about you also helps us get a higher quality of data to go along with your feedback. For example, the data could help us work out if specific groups, such as younger people or older people, have differing views. This will help us make better decisions.

Unsubscribing

If you no longer wish to hear from us you can manage your preferences in "My account" or click on the "unsubscribe" link on one of our emails.

In-person engagement

Engage Angus makes it easier for people to get involved and have their say about things that matter to them.

But it won’t replace face-to-face engagement.

There will still be opportunities to attend public meetings, workshops, information events or roadshows if the project requires it.

How we use your feedback

We'll collate comments, ideas and suggestions from Engage Angus and face-to-face consultation.

This gives us insight into community views and opinions. This insight informs the development of strategies, programmes, and activities or other council decision-making processes.

However, while we do consider all feedback, this doesn't mean every suggestion can be taken on board or adopted.
